power steerin pump removal
i got an 88 s10 blazer. what is the best way to remove the center bolt. i dont have a pulley puller or anything like that is there a way that u can remove it without one. The only thing i knew to do was to lock the belt down and try and hold the crankshaft and turn the center bolt but all the pulley did was turn inside the belt. any info would be greatly appreciated.

You need the tool - and it`s a pressed fit!

I know it`s on a Mopar - but, even they know to use a GM power steering pump!

You should be able to borrow the tool from Auto Zone. You put a deposit on the loaner tools and you get it all back when the tool is returned. The most important part of the power steering pump removal and installation is alligning the power steering pump pulley to be in line with the crank pulley when re-installed.
