Default vibration when turning

replaced parts: both wheel bearings, tie rod inners and outers, shocks, ball joints uppers and lowers.

still getting a vibration/shaking when steering wheel is 3/4 cranked left or right, forward or reverse. any ideas?

So this is an S-series 4x4? How many miles on it? Have you checked out the cv shafts yet? If you put it in 4wd does anything seem different? Do you have a rear locker? It is definitely steering related?

s-series blazer. no rear locker. cv axles are newer. havent checked it in 4x4. but only vibrates on dry pavement. will have to check 4x4 tomorrow. and the truck has 107,000 miles on it. just changed out front and rear diff fluid. no metal in either, nothing abnormal. also about a month ago i put new seals in the front axle.

What kind of cv shafts did you install? I had a problem with "Made in China" shafts vibrating but they did it at higher highway speeds, not when turning. What about the air pressure in the tires? Maybe try rotating them to see if that makes a difference.

Have you alighned the front end? It could possibly be the toe end that is out of adjustment since you replaced the tie rod ends. Or was it vibrating like this before you replaced the parts?

well, it started after the tie rods got replaced. and bandidolenny, i checked the air pressure in the tires. they are good. however, when i put it in 4x4, checked the steering, then took it out of 4x4, the steering got worse. now it vibrates about 1/2 to 2/3 cranked left or right, forward or reverse. but its on and off. sometimes the vibration is there and sometimes not. but its usually there.

If you figure this out, please let me know as i think mine is doing exactally what yours is. Mine is an 01 and has 180k miles on it and just recently i have noticed that when pulling into parking spaces and stuff it will start jerking/bucking. It never does it at fast speeds, just very slow parking lot stuff. There was another guys kinda explaning something similar and he ended up replacing the fuel plentium (what ever that is) and it appeared to fix it for him.

Sounds like the sleeve in the front diff unit is not dis-engaging. This would keep your front axles and cv shafts tied together through the diff and would be very noticable when turning.
