Violent Shaking While Driving

Hello! This is my first post to Blazer Forum. I recently started to notice my 2001 Blazer shaking as I drive. It started off subtle, but has been getting progressively worse over the past few weeks. Just today I did some highway driving, and the shaking was worse than ever. If I let go of the steering wheel the vehicle pulls to the left, but at speeds of 45-65 mph the whole truck shakes violently, so bad that I decided to take the back roads home in case anything happened. I also thought that the lower speeds on the back roads would ease the shaking, but it seems like the shakes are noticeable now even at very slow speeds. I checked the air in my tires and they are all ok. I was thinking I may need an alignment because of the pulling to the left, but I have never experienced any other vehicle of mine shaking so badly just because of that. Is there any other problems anyone thinks may be causing this? I am not sure what it is but it is starting to worry me. I was just hoping for a few possible ideas before I inevitably need to take it to the garage. Thanks!

could be a lot of things, loose lug nuts, bad hubs or ball joints. tires out of balance. Jack it up and check to see if there`s play anywhere, as in grab the tire and try wiggling it

Definitely check for tires that are failing. The tires can bubble out and cause this. Since it is speed dependent there is a good chance of a moving part, such as a U-joint, CV axle, etc causing the problem. Could also be ball joints or loose tie rod ball joints. Need to get it up as newguy said and take a look.
