Yea, I need to know as I have the same issue.

If I grab the steering column just above the knuckle above the steering box the sleeve feels loose at the top end.

The Chevy guys tell me it's in the steering shaft somewhere & they need to "Inject" something into the shaft to "re-lube".

I was in a rush at the time & didn't dig deeper to get a better understanding other than it involves about an hour / hour & a half of labour.

But then I'm RHD!!!! LOL Always different!

Theres a thread on here where someone sends a link to youtube and they show how the bolt on the hood comes loose thats all it was a loose bolt on the hood where it swivels.

OK, so it's not tthe same clunk as mine.

The Chevy guys had my hood off when they fixed the leak under the windscreen & the clunk is still there! So that's not an alternative for my clunk. Damn, just when I thought I had an easy fix!

could it possibly be the lower ball joint or perhaps tie rod that is loose? I also seem to have this issue and with half my tire wearing close to the belts there is something here. I hope to find it as i need it fixed fast. Sorry but what does the pitman do?
