Default What seal is the correct seal for the front diff on my blazer ?

My driver side seal on my GM 7.25 IFS is leaking it's very hard to find any information on it. From what I've seen there's a plate that the seal presses on too and then the plate bolts to the differential. My question is do I need the one with the metal nubs on the back or without the metal nuts. From what I've gathered I need the one with the metal nubs so it will hold the bearing in here's a few pictures for reference please help me out also how would I align the nubs to make sure that they will go in properly

I've done this repair.

See if this answers your questions.

As for the seal itself, I believe the part number is GM 12471586.

Awesome thanks again for giving me great advice. I believe the one with the nub was an old design and that solid metal one that you're showing me is like a new design and that's what I'm going to order the only reason for the nubs on the other one was to hold in a bearing but everything I've seen from the replacement plate in your post shows without the nubs so I'm just going to go with that. I would buy the whole plate but I can't find it anywhere on like RockAuto and I'm not going to the dealership LOL

You are very welcome.

I remember that buying the full cover was not crazy expensive from a dealer. But looking now, I cannot find it anywhere.
