Will it break?

okay so I have a 2000 chevy blazer. the 4x4 when out because of a vaccume leak and the transfer case vacume valve was bad. there is a bad storm approaching so I had to rig up the 4x4 system for now so what I did was have the cable pulled up by a bracket and a bolt to the cable. I have the cable fully engaged so when I need 4x4 all I do is push the button and it kicks the encoder motor. my question is, is that if I leave that cable pulled, will it ruin anything in my front end or should I just get the posi loc cable kit? thanks, brandon

I personally wouldn't run at hi way speeds with the from diff engaged. Check out my build thread on the first page I have a write up of a $40 posi lock that works perfect every time!

I wouldn't be worried about running around with it engaged, that's what the bravada shaft mod does and lots of people have that with no problems. I'd be more worried about it staying engaged/working itself loose.
