ZR2 Blazer vs regular Blazer rear spring
OK, I recently purchased a 2003 Blazer ZR2 and it has the usual rear spring sag. I've searched high and low on the the forum but cant find an answer to the question of spring difference between the regular Blazer and the ZR2.. The specs (dimensions) seem to be the same, according to the diagrams on General springs website. Are they interchangeable? If so, will the increased weight capacity (1300lb vs 1100) equal an increase in height?
Thanks for the info. |

Thanks, but I only see an S10 ZR2, and no Blazer ZR2.

Oops, I thought it had blazer zr2 on there too. Sorry!

This spring has one standard eye and the other eye is kind of strange as it’s called a reverse dutch so it’s not completely reversed as it’s reversed and then taken back to mid eye.

I've seen what my ZR2 springs look like with the reverse dutch thing, but all of the springs on this website look the same, the only difference is the # of leafs in the pack. Is there a different arch height between the two? Are the shackle bolts the same diameter?

It's a default pic with specs, they were a perfect fit for my ZR2. I was sagging in back by 3 inches, you can see the stance on my avatar with the new springs.

I replaced mine with the springs in the above link for ZR2. I don't know if any others would fit and function properly, that being said I am sure someone has done it before thinking correct springs were not available (it took me quit some time to find the right ones). You might also consider what a heavier spring rate might do to the ride, I would think it would be very rough.
