2002 LS Drifting FAIL.

so, i've taken my blazer drifting many times before. Started of sliding around a gravel parking lot, then moved to large open parking lots, then to more winding multilevel church parking lots. well i decided to step up my teenage wreckless driving to drifting around a turn on the real road after rain. well all in all, i got what i deserved, counter-steered and accelerated, i was fine. Then, my back tires caught, next thing i know i'm nose down in a 3 foot deep ditch. unscaved, but pissed about my front end, and the fact my bbq wings from work were now on my dash.
The bbq sauce is still there. Only damage was cosmetic to front bumper, hood, grille, and both fenders... then my upper oil pan cracked, probably caused by a small crack due to the wreck. but, cut my bumper off, got the oil pan fixed. moral of the story. don't drift in a freaking blazer. bad idea. |
you might have some frame damage..

Well, off hand I'd say you got away lucky. If your going to continue to Drift your Blazer, I would suggest lowering her and get some wider Rims with tires. As she sits now, she's way to high to due a proper drift (IMHO).
Take care. Shane. |
^ Ditto. mine drifts fine.

yea you could have flipped it. It doesn't take much to flip a blazer that isn't lowered and has wider rims

OMG, I just watched a movie stunt car specially built for it do the coolest thing, so I'll take my factory stock truck out on a public road and do it, too!
