My accident 8/30/2007 *Warning Big Pics*

So on some other posts ive posted how i got in a accident 2 days after getting my blazer. Well i never thought i had pictures of it but it seems that the pictures i did take were on my cameras built in memory and not the memory stick, i came across them today and was shocked to see them, i only had my truck for a day so i dont really remember exactly how it came. But it seems the grille that got put in is different from the one in pictures and also some of the trim looks faded. But anyway heres my story.

It was the second night i had my truck i was making a left at a intersection. There are 2 lights at this intersection one is a standard traffic light and the other one had a arrow. Now i had the green light not the green arrow but i didnt have a red arrow. So i sitting in the turning lane about to take the left when on the other side a jeep cherroke in its 90's (the boxy looking one) came over the hill and smashed into my drivers side fender. Now the insurance company said it was my fault because i was making the left at the light without a arrow so im automatically at fault. But if you look at the way the damage is on my truck if i had already started to make the left (can't remember if i did it happened so fast) the damage would be in the middle of the front of the truck or on the passenger side. Not the drivers side. But eh my parents had collison on the truck. Anyway when he hit me he went flying and i barley moved (which i found funny). His whole drivers side was smashed in and his truck couldnt run. I swear he hit me on purpose but thats neither here nor there. I drove the truck home that night with the bumper in my drivers side tire. I couldn't bend it out enough to get it out of the tire. My dad is a mechanic he owned his own auto repair shop for 20+ years in new york before i moved to NC, thats also why my truck has never been to a shop either i do the work (i try to do the most i can) or my dad does it. So he was able to get a check from the insurance company buy all the parts and do the body work. I drove around my whole senior year with a black hood and a black fender and the rest of the truck blue. We could never find the time to get it painted. So in June 2008 after i graduated my dad got it painted while we were in MA for a wedding. Anyways heres the pics. I saw them and figured i had to tell my tale :)

haha yea that pic was taking summer of 08 the pics above were taking summer 07. The image above is a day after getting it. The pic on cardomain was from the summer just past. The first time i took her offroad was at the end of this summer after that pic was taken. The first time i took her in like 4 feet of mud was December hahaha. If i took a pic now it dosent look as pretty. Ive tried power washing it so it looks decent but theres alot of dried mud at the bottom of the engine. Here in nc we dont have mud we have clay so its actually dried clay :D. When it gets warmer im gonna lift it up and really power wash underneath get everything clean. Before is start offroading again. I do have it washed once a week so it stays in good shape.
