Aftermarket shock absorbers

I have a 99 Chevy blazer LS 4wd the shocks are pretty well shot. I am planning on buying some Monroe shocks just wanted to know what ones yall have bought. I might be doing a bit of towing and I want something that will hold up in the corners. What shocks do yall recommend or how does yalls perform? I’d ideally be ordering from rock auto. Any advice appreciated.

In my experience Monroe are a really good upper-middle of the road option. I have Monroe on my truck now, and have been really happy with them. I do a bit of off-roading, camping, and towing of a 4000lb trailer and have never had any complaints with them.

Many people consider Bilstein to be the best option if you go offroad, or are towing a lot and need stiffer dampening. I didn't see the need for the added cost, and haven't regretted it at all.

I had SuperLift shocks for a while, but they only lasted a couple years before needing replacement. I probably wouldn't buy them again.

That's my :icon_twocents: experience with shocks.

sounds good I’m definitely thinking Monroe’s. What type of Monroe shocks do you have? Where did you order them?

I ended up going with the Monroe Reflex series. I think I got them from RockAuto, but I'm not 100% sure. It was a few years ago.
