Default Lift kit and skid plate compatibility

I'm still figuring out my build plans for my 1999 Blazer. It's a 4x4 but that's about it...totally stock. I'm looking at a 2.5" lift kit (Rough Country) so I can fit 31" tires. My question is related to skid plates...I know there are ZR2 skids and regular skids. If I do the lift kit I assume I need the ZR2 front skid plates, correct? Do all the other skids, especially the front diff plate, work with the rough country kit? Thanks in advance for any advice/input.

Front oil filter cover will not fit. You will need the regular 4x4 plate for that. All else will be the same.

Thanks for the quick reply. Is the ZR2 plate the regular 4x4 plate?

I just want to buy the right thing first...something I rarely end up doing!

No, the zr2 front oil filter plate is angled different. It is not the same as the standard 4x4 skid plate.

there is a specific thread that is for skid plates and which they will work with. Do a search and it will come up. I just posted in it.
