Default Help getting these torsion bars removed please

Hey guys need a little help with some ideas on how to get the torsion bars out of the keys as well as the lower control arms. From what I understand is the bars should "just slide" forward out of the keys and the control arms. The lower control arms, torsion bars and torsion bar mount are all removed from the truck. Thanks

Yeah, there isn't anything but rust holding them things in there. You may want to try heating and quenching the sockets that the bar fits into. Just be careful not to put too much heat into the bar. Either that or liberally coat the sockets with penetrating lube and wait and repeat...

I finally managed to get it all apart. I was able to eventually get the bars out of the control arms with an air chisel and some penetrating oil. There was 1 torsion key that I couldn't get for the life of me. Took it to a buddys welding shop and got it out in about 3 mins. A piece of 4x4 square tubing in a vice with the torsion bar slid inside it. The crossmember up top, a little heat and punched it out no problems. Man were those things in there though.
