New Bushings

Hey everyone, so today i randomly made $100 more than i expected so im considering buying new bushings for my truck. I'd like to buy a complete set but not sure what exactly that is. Can you guys help me out and give me some suggestions of different companies to buy from?

Thanks in advance
-Derek

... what bushings?

For the body mounts? sway bars? leaf spings? there are a ton man.

What exactly are you looking to swap :icon_idea1:

what kind of bushings? there are a lot of different bushings on your truck. They say the poly-glass one's or whatever are the best but they are expensive. The bushings I've had to replace I used Moog.

x2 on moog.

there energy suspension bushings are quite easy on the eyes, and those in the cab. Not to shabby price wise either.

I'd like to replace all the suspension bushings

I might just buy new rear shocks and just get bushings for the leaf springs....suggestions or advice?

3" lift shackles? omg what kind of T-Bar twist are you considering? If it's anywhere near the 2" max your truck will be crying for new front end parts really quick! lol & often too

you don't need new shocks but it does help if you get some shocks with 2 inches more play

does anyone know where to get shackle bushing (and bolts) for a 2005?
i cant find them anywhere?

try www.rockauto.com
use RockAuto discount code 28887572349269 but it will expire on May 9, 2010
or try a local suspension shop that deals in springs etc

cyrifawcett 05-03-2010 09:02 PM

awesome, thanks. also why would the 3" do so much more damage then the 2"? the torsion keys i just got are adjustable and havnt decided what size to go yet

Rottidog 05-03-2010 09:06 PM

Damage? I'm assuming you mean the torsion keys to keep up to the 3" shackles? Do a search in here for t-bar twist etc & you'll see that most agree that the most you should "twist" the torsion bars is 1.5" - 2"

More than that & you'll be putting a LOT more stress on front end parts & going through them a lot faster.

cyrifawcett 05-03-2010 09:39 PM

well when i said "damage" i was just referring to the "stress on the front end"
but i get what your saying. thanks again!

np... hope things work out for ya
