My 2-door, rear-wheel, 2001 Blazer is due some new shocks. What are the best shocks for it?

If your truck is 2wd, I'd go Monroe Reflex LT shocks. They give a better ride on road than the Monroe Reflex Monotube.

A three month review of the monroe monotube shock: Tease shocks are a little more difficult to install as they are gas charged This means that they act almost as a helper shock or a coil over. Not to fear thou as they come with a jock strap which holds them pretty close to ride length if you jack under the axle or a arm. Jack under the frame and they are too short for instalation amd cut the band and theyre too long DONT DO EITHER. As for ride quality with stock or slightly lowered trucks,they take about 50 mi to break in. After this distance what you get is what you get

Sorry for the consecuitive posts. One has to be knowlegeable of the fact that springs and shocks work together What I experanced is that MY Blazer has springs that seem too stiff. This in tern leads me to opin that the shocks are too soft, but just slightly. When I become King I'll make these shocks about the same in compression and more than a few clicks tighter in extention. This will keep the body lower on repetitive small bumps thus improving the handling that requires steering input
