Superlift kit...welding??
 

okay, so i have a 1997 blazer, bone stock, and i have no access to a welder, i was wondering from you guys who have put these on, how much welding is involved, if any?

There some welding and alot of cutting involved. It's not an easy kit install. My install was a PITA.

oh okay, any cutting or replaceing is fine, im pretty good with cars and trucks, just welding isnt my strong point, i saw a cheap welder at owes, just 2 tanks and a torch, would that work?

My boy used a tick welder on mine. Not sure how well a torch welder would work. You might wanna give the guys at Superlifts a call regarding installation techniques. I've called them before with questions and they were very helpful throughout my install.

You haveto weld the rear spring perchs on and you need to weld a support in on the front of the frame. I think any welder would do, just make sure you do them.

I have one thing to say about welding... this comes from 4 generations of miilwrights.... A good weld is not hard to make. A good looking weld is.

Strong durable welds are not difficult to do, now making it look good is the hard part. If you dont care about the look of the weld then you should have no problems..
