My front sway bar bushings are shot. So I was wondering, from what ive seen it should have a 33 mm front sway bar being a 96 z85. Does this seem right? If so could anybody give some advice on replacement, quality parts as well as how difficult the labor would be would be appretiated

You can use this to measure your sway bar to make sure you have the correct size. As for difficulty it's easy no special tools required at all just some simple sockets. You may have to break/cut the old bolts off of the links as its common for them to rust and become garbage. For a good brand I used energy suspension bushings on mine and so have many others and I don't have any complaints about them.

For off-roading it's OK, there's even quick disconnect kits you can buy or make yourself. But as for on-road, the sway bar is there for a reason and should be attached.

Lewhite drives a 2wd s10 with big rims what would he know about off roading haha. you can test drive my truck you wouldnt know if it was on there or not i have 10 years wrenching on 4wds. Btw you cannot Quick disconnect on a first gen because the bar goes directly under the a arm theres no end link.
