torsion bar keys or/and crank whats the diff
 

Just curiouse I was thinking about cranking up the t-bars this weeke nd to level the jimmy off and was wondering if i had missed something. what exactly is the key used for when u purchase a lift kit? when reading how to crank the t-bars i read no mention of this is it nessesary? Why would i want the keys i may have missed something so thought it was worth asking.

Cranking is free, keys just reindex the bar basically doing the same thing as a crank but costs money.

You already have 'keys' in, the others are crap, just new ones, I have heard many times they don't even give more lift, just make you feel better about yourself lmao.

Yeah just lift your factory keys. 4 turns = 1 inch of lift in most cases unless your torsion bars are really worn. Don't waste your money on the keys and don't go overboard on cranking your keys.

Just cranking the torsion bars will not allow for as much lift and will add too much stress on the adjuster bolt when out all the way. These torsion keys have a removable cam that allows you to reposition the torsion bar with the keys which makes for more adjustment without turning the adjuster bolt to its max position.

You don't want over 1.5 inches on a s-series . The ones with the cams are just overpriced and no need for them. You are putting the same amount of stress on the adjusters no matter where the bolt is threaded in, you only change the amount it needs to be threaded with the adjustable cams. You want to waste money on un-needed and overly complicated parts when its not necessary be my guest.
