2016 Camaro rims on a 93 S10 blazer 4wd
 

I have a 4dr 93 S10 blazer 4x4 and I want to put 2016 Camaro rims on it is this possible and have any of you done this before

Are the bolt patterns the same? I know second gen Blazers are 5x4.75, don't know about first gen

Camaro lug pattern is 5x120mm, S10/Blazer's pattern is 5x4.75, which is 5x120.65

There's a 0.65mm difference between the two, which is a VERY small difference, but if you could mount them it's going to make the studs deflect 0.325mm out from the center when you fully tighten the lug nuts down

I've heard of guys running them and never having an issue, but many will argue that little bit of deflection is enough to weaken the stud and pose a potential hazardous situation, and I would have to agree with the latter, but each is entitled to their own opinion. I've never actually heard or read any stories of studs shearing off because of this, but you have to decide if you want to take that risk...

The main thing that's going to stop you from mounting the wheels is the center bore size. The Camaro's wheels center bore is smaller than the Blazers, so you physically cannot get them to sit flush with the brake rotor and mount them.

I believe I have read before and seen photos of a guy that actually took a handheld router with a flush trim bit and routed out the hub center of the aluminum wheel and got them to fit on.

Matter of fact, here's a Youtube video of a guy doing it to an aftermarket 6 lug wheel with a full size Chevy center bore diameter to make it fit on a Toyota, since they share a similar issue (the Toyota requires a larger center bore than the Chevy even though the lug pattern is actually the same on them)





The safest option (and some would argue the "safe" aspect of this option, but I can attest that I've ran these on more than one vehicle and have never had an issue) is some spacer adapters. Not a perfect option on a 4wd since the track width is already wider than the 2wd and it's going to make the Camaro wheels stick out an extra 1.5" or so once mounted, but the 2wd guys can get away with it and it looks and works great. But the adapter can safely change the 5x4.75 to 5x120mm and the center bore difference would no longer be an issue either.
