33" tires
okay I don't know a lot about tires and I need some help please! so I've been hearing that 33" tires are the way to go. Well right now I have 235/75R15 tires. What is the difference between those and a 33" tire?

about 3 inches
|
and about a 4" lift
|
33s have more flotation(stay on top of mud etc), give you more clearance for the underbody. they do however take more power to turn, and will accelerate wear on all drivetrain, steering, suspension and braking components.

^^^ditto
i have 33".. you need alot of lift to squeeze them on. i havent had any premature wear issues yet. |
so with a 2.5" rough country suspension lift and a 2" body lift I should be able to put on some 33"s? how would you search for the tire size online for example i have 235/75R15 tires how would I search for 33s just type 33" tires?

It sounds like you are new to wheeling so here is some basic info on tire size
First # on tire is height aka 33 Second # width like 12.5 Third # rim size R15 Tread pattern is were your tire performance comes from |

You will need to do a fair bit of fender trimming as well. https://blazerforum.com/forum/tires-...er-pics-71189/ Here's a calculator to see what the metric tire sizes work out to in Inches, you can also look at specific tire manufacturer web pages to see what the dimensions are for a specific type of tire (ie. 33x10.5R15 KM2's have an actual diameter of 32.7" and tread width of 10.2" according to BFG IIRC). I have 33x12.5x15s on my Blazer. They fit with no issues, of course, mine isn't stock height, either. I could probably put 35 or 37 inch tires on mine without cutting. I'm not 100% sure on exactly how much lift is on it. The guy I got it from said there was 4 inches of suspension lift on it, but, he had the axle on top of the front leaf springs. After I got it, I moved the leaf springs on top of the axle, that, from what I've read will give another 3-5 inches of lift. After we did the axle under leaf swap, I put a 3 inch block in the rear and it's still sitting about 1-2 inches lower in the rear. So, I'd say I have between 8-9 inches of lift?? I can post a side pic if someone would like to let me know for sure?
