34x10.50

Ok guys, I've searched around and it looks like I'd need to lift around 5" to clear 34's on an 88 S10 Blazer. But I'm looking to build a budget trail rig and wonder if anyone has done the same with less height, less money, and more cutting. I've also been looking into Cherokee's because they're cheaper to lift but found a good deal on this '88. It's a V6 5speed, and I think will turn the 34's ok until I can regear and lock the rear. I'm just looking for a mid-size SUV to run 34x10.5 LTB's on 15x8 steelies. Am I thinking the impossible or is the Blazer really an option? Thanks guys.

you can do anything given enough time and money.

I fit 33" on a '85. 3" body lift and fender trimming, plus some firewall massaging with a sledge hammer. Wouldn't be that much harder to get 34" on it, plus a little more trimming and a little more hammering.
