5 BFG M/T 31x10.5 99% tread for $400!?

Wow Im really excited about tomorrow. I found 5 almost brand new BFG M/T 31"x10.5"x15R's mounted on brand new black steel rims ("soft 8's") on craigslist for only 500 bucks. There so new they still have the little injection nubs and different colored lines on the tread. I would keep the rims, but there 5 on 4.5. Im thinkin i might be able to resell those for $100, bringing the actual cost down to $400. Thats 80 bucks a tire. Im gonna pick them up tommorow and get them switched to stock rims. My question is should i get them siped??? Ill post pics once i get them on.

Not sure, depends on if you want a softer better ice/snow tire (which will wear faster) or if you want to keep them the way they are (this is what i would suggest). Thats a sweet deal, wish I could find some like that around here.

siping them wont make them much softer lenny, it gives them better traction in the rain and on wet pavement.... and if it is your DD it is a highly reccomended option.... the BFG MT sucks on wet pavement unless it is siped for water.... I believe a bf.com member named tommyd has them and they are siped, I havent heard from him for a bit, but you might consider PM'ing him.....

Yup I got the 30's though. Couldn't even hardly get up a hill if I was stopped on it and it was wet out. Sipe them, it's safer and will keep you from spinning all the tread off in the rain/snow. I've had mine for a year roughly and they are not wearing as bad as I thought they would. Don't try to do doughnuts though. They don't want to go sideways and if you hit a dry spot you might roll your truck or at least have it on 2 wheels like I did. Smashed my head on the window too lol. Good tires I paied $110 a tire brand new from discount. If you want to have any sort of gas mileage you might want to consider filling them with nitrogen. I was averaging 22 with 235/70/15's now I'm averaging 15-16 around 12 in the city. Be prepared to pay for these things as long as they are on.

Oh yeah, I hope you like the radio real loud because it's going to have to be to hear it over the tires.

Yeah i had them put on on wensday, but ive been camping so i havent got the chance to take pictures. I got them siped, and ive heard from everyone that i have asked that its worth it and doesnt really wear the tred fast enough to worry about. Ill try to get some pics up tommorow.
