87 K5 Blazer Tire size
Hi, I'm looking into getting some new tire and could use some help. I currently have stock size on it, 235/75/R15 but would like something a little bigger. I was thinking of the 31/10.5/R15 size but don't know if it will fit.
Thanks for you help |
The '91 Full size I had was running 31x10.5 tires stock which did not rub or anything. I think a 33" tire will rub but i'm not 100% sure

33s can fit depending how wore out your springs are and how wide a rim u use. I had a k5 with 33 12.50s on a 8 inch wide rim but would rub if you hit a bump while turning. Just got a 86 k30 and put 33 12.50s on a 10 wide rim and they hit the fender on a turn. Bad enough where u can't even drive it. I put a 3 inch on it to fix the problem. And even then on a turn if u hit a curb they will hit.
So 31-32s would be good. 31s aint gonna be that much bigger then 235s |
Thanks for the input, I put the tires on and it fits fine and looks nicer with the bigger tires. I had to modify the running boards a little bit but that wasn't a problem. The only other thing is that i need to give some more gas to get her to move.

I have 33x12.50 on 10" wide rims on my '74 and I know that if I did not have the 3" body lift, it would hit on the fenders. I have had it fully flexed and I am only 1" away from the fender now when I steer to lock.
Here is a picture for reference. This isn't even at full flex either... http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a1...pit_fun_03.jpghttp://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a1...pit_fun_04.jpg |
