american racing dished
saw what could be a good deal on CL.. seller has 5 american racing rims matte black.. and they are 5x4.75 bolt pattern.. and 8x15 if i pick these up will i be able to get away with 30/10.50/15 tires?
thanks for the help EDIT: PICTURE on post 7 |
I have 33/12.5/15 on 15x8 wheels. I see no problem with that. Good luck
|
lol 8x15 never seen 15'' wide wheels on a blazer haha
|
I don't think they are 15inch wide (width) it's the diameter of the rim it self.. however, if they are 15 inch wide that would be weird ashell.. im going to check them out this weekend..

I know i was just messing around but usually you say the diameter first. If the person on CL put 8x15 im guessing hes not the smartest witch means talk him down. Good luck!
got the picture.. whadya fellas thinks?? recognize dem rims? http://i128.photobucket.com/albums/p...44d8e31582.jpg |
Is your truck 4WD? If so, you might have some rubbing issues if you don't have any lift.
|
Haha my bad, I didn't catch the 8x15 part last night at 4:00 in the morning after being awake for 22 hours. I meant 15x8 and so did he obviously.
Hey man, what's the backspacing???? |
here is the seller exact description on CL
"5 like new-used-black dished american racing wheels for chevy s10 bolt pattern 5x4.75 - 8 x 15 inch" I thought the General consensus is if going 30/10.5/15 no lift is necessary or watsover.? Im beat.. just got done doing the driver side hub what pita.. bolts gave me such a hard time... but got it all done up.. all worth it tough.. no more vibration/humming noise.. |
Oh, I didn't know he listed them as "black dished". If they are American Racing wheels then they should be called ar-767. But I think "black dished" fits LOL
I just replaced both my front hub assemblies and CV's two weeks ago. I used pb blaster and let the bolts soak for awhile and they still gave me trouble. |
great! i just ordered me a set of cooper's discover atr
30/9.50/15's can't wait |
Nice pickup on the wheels i was looking for a good deal on the same ones but came across ar23"s in stead and went with them.
My truck has the road noise i think you are talking about and when i was changing out my front brakes i noticed when i trun the hub by hand on the driver side it felt a little rough but not loose. Do you think its just the wheel berings or do i need to change the hole hub? |

Do you think its just the wheel berings or do i need to change the hole hub? here's what i did: I jacked up the front side. and with the wheels (bolted) i grab hold of the entire wheel and wiggled it up/down.. side to side.. I had a lot of play in both direction.. (driver side) the passenger side had no play.. I have an 4x4, IIRC 2wheel are different perhaps you can only change the "bearing" instead of the whole hub assembly.. the "guru's" can confirm this.. |
I dont have any play in mine, so im guessing its ok to assume its just the berings?

Do you mean it was a bad ball joint?? There are no upper or lower CVs, just axle CVs and a drive-shaft CV on our trucks.
