Okay so i am lookin at a few different rims for my 2001 blazer 4x4. i have a 5in BDS lift and i am runnin 31x10.50 on my factory rims. i would really like to get my stance out but DONT want wheel spacers. i will prob be puttin on a 2in body lift in the upcoming year. i need stance lol. the rims im lookin at have 4.25in backspacing. is that gunna rub my fenders when i turn? The other rims i like have 4.5 in backspacing. i do wanna run bigger tires after body lift. maybe 33s or a touch smaller. can i get some help with what to do here. attached is a pic of my blazer now and the websites with the 2 rims im lookin at! thanks http://www.jcwhitney.com/style-182-m...864d242y2001j1

Hey Bryce, I cant help you as I'm trying to figure my own rim thing out, I just wanted to say I like the ones from JC whitney better :)

If you have stock 4wd rims they are at 6''backspacing. If you want them to stick out farther get a lower backspaced. For example 3'' would stick out farther. Look at my pictures I have 2'' backspacing. With a body lift you will rub. You could try and do some fender cutting and you would be ok. The 4.25'' backspaced rims you would like

4x4 blazer stock rim is a 6" backspace. I have black pro comp wheels which have a 4.5" backspace and they stick out about 1.5". If you decide to run 33's, your tires will rub the fenders, but that's a simple fix with a sawzall. Don't be afraid to trim your fenders a little.

Just idle curiosity here, mainly because I'm still trying to decide where I'm going with my Jimmy. But, are you guys telling me that with his 5" suspension lift he already has he's going to rub the fenders with 33" tires if the backspacing is less than 6"?? I'm just trying to understand how much the backspacing is hurting it. So once he adds the 2" body lift will the tires still not clear the fenders? I'm not looking to go that large by any means, but I was hoping I could get a little backspacing reduction and widen the stance a tad. If what you guys are saying is correct I'm not going to be able to go up to a 31" with a slight T bar crank, change of shackles, and 2" body lift without trimming the fenders. Sorry for the rant guys, I'm just trying to learn the details of these trucks better.

hey thanks NJ for the correction I meant to put 6'' backspacing. Yes he will rub. I put on a 6.5'' fabtech lift front and back of my blazer and still rubbed. The 2'' Body lift is what did the trick for no rubbing.

Damn... so I'm outta luck being able to fit about 31" (245/60R16's) without trimming with just a body lift and small suspension lift if I wanted to decrease backspacing... crap, just when I thought I had it figured out.... LOL

I had 31''s with a 2'' body lift and coil spacers up front and trimmed the fenders on the inner wall and I could turn full lock. Not full lock and hit a bump but It was still good for around town

okay so i know the factory rims have 6'' backspacing. I really think i am goin to get the rims with 4.25'' backspacing from jc whitney, but with those rims and the setup i have now do you guys think i will have to still trim my fenders. im not afraid to trim them but just wonderin about it. where exactly is it i will need to trim? Is it the back outer corner that causes all the problems or is it the inner wheel well fender thats screwin us? and if i understand this right nj if i get 4.25'' backspaced tims i will stick out about 1.75''? Is that right?

you won't have to trim your fenders with 31's and a 5 inch lift. I barely rub with a 2 inch lift
