beadlock
hello, i was looking around for some rims with a beadlock on them and i found the cragar beadlocks that cost about 109 bucks anyone know of anything cheaper or even a falsebeadlock just for the look. let me know.

I believe that beadlock rims are illegal in most states for standard vehicles. You'd want to go with the falsebeadlock rims. I'm not sure on pricing, but I'll keep an eye out.
|
hum i didnt know about the legality of it but y not false beadlocks i have seen kits that cost like 69 bucks a peace and if u add that to the 60$ that the cragars cost plain im looking at you would be more then 109 bucks lol. i dunno what to do. that's why im here :)
|
y shouldnt i use the fake beadlocks
|
if you can find wheels with a simulated beadlock there shouldnt be any problems at all, as stated earlier its the actual beadlocks thatll get you in trouble since theyre illegal for road use.
|
ok cool anyone know a company that makes these?
|
I found one that makes a faux Bead-lock add-on to your current rim. They are crap, but they beat the current bid of $60...
http://store.cseoffroad.com/brb05.html Otherwise this style is fairly spendy... |
thats real nice.. just what i was looking for.

glad to help.

Split rims are EXTREMELY dangerous. If you don't do things exactly right, you can die and major collateral damage will be done. There's so many scenarios that will put someone in the hospital if they're lucky. I figure that has something to do with why they're illegal on the road. They serve an awesome job if you actually have a need for them, but just for a daily driver, you want as few on the road as possible.

Too true....they work great on our 10 ton off-road dump trucks but catastrophic failure at highway speeds.....Katy bar the door. |
