bigger wheels without lift
Has anyone figured out how to put bigger wheels on a first generation with out having to do a spring lift? Very interested in the feed back.

Are you asking about tires or wheels? Wheels are easy, just need to keep the same diameter tire on the larger wheel.
Larger tires? Yep, you need a lift of your choice. |
No lift needed to put about 1.5 in taller tire on. I have done it. And glad I didnt lift the truck as I really wanted a better handling vehicle. Yup 1st gen.

Well I ran 15's forever but they got to costing more and more because they are getting obsolete. I found some 18's that came off a 2013 camaro that strongly resemble the factory rimms that came on it. I love the tires and I dont so much mind the rough riding as it's not really that much of a difference. My concern is that the tire doesn't fill the wheel well like I'd want it to because of the lift. Ive lowered it a few times by removing one of the three pegs on each side of the springs and it shrubs so I always put them back.

if you own a sawzall you can fit 35 12.50 inch tires pretty easily :) https://blazerforum.com/forum/attach...ine=1432747217
the front axle does not appreciate these big of tires though, i eventually downgraded to some crappy 33 inch thornbirds https://blazerforum.com/forum/attach...ine=1432747217 |
