biggest tire w/no rubbing
hello what is the biggest tire i can put on my 98 s10 blazer 4dr?
no lift just torsion adj. so far but i would like to go with the cheap steel wheel 15 or 16 with some BFG mud terrain but whats the biggest size i can get with no lift. i have hurd 30,s by like 10.5. |
This is probably the most asked question on the forum, a quick search would have gotten you an answer. But, some people can get away with 31's with just a t-bar crank and shackles without rubbing. It's just the luck of the draw.

I would think 265 75R 15 without any type of lift. With a 1" t-bar adjustment and 2" rear shackles you can fit 31 10.50 15.
Don't quote me on that though. :icon_shrug: |

Don't quote me on that though. :icon_shrug: some company's 265/75/15's are bigger then other company's 31x10.5R15's and vice versa. not all brand/tire models are exactly the same size, even when they are marked the same size. |
30x9.5x15 is the biggest, I have had them on for years even before the shackels and t-bar adjust.

you can fit 31's with fender trimming and the tbars cranked the entire way. If you are big on 4 wheeling 31's will rub with the fenders trimmed and the tbars up the whole way when you are wheeling. I'd stick with 30's if you don't want to lift it anymore than you have it unless you do 95% of your driving on the road you could probably get away with 31's

yes, i did find the info on the tire size after posting(sorry) but any how so you guys are putting new shackles and what is the size. like i can go to pepboys and buy them and the front would need the Tbar keys to go up? just want to make sure i am on the same page as you guys! but even after i do that i think i will stick with 30x9.5r15 for now. is this the right key set ? Suspension max part #: SMX-0075 ?? thanks guys

if you are sticking with 30's I wouldn't crank the tbars at all. cranking the tbars wears out the front end parts so until you decide to get bigger tires I would keep it at stock height

ya, i see that but i dont mind one bit it will give me sum thing to do and ball joints are cheap at napa(shop dis.) and easy to do. does anyone make better cv shafts for it? i see in reading this morning that the boot will rip. oh ya i have a good front end guy does it up for like $30. i dont like body lifts so i am not sure if i go to a 31 if it will work.
