Caliper rubbing on rims
Not to resurrect an old thread, but my front left wheel has been making noise. The usual squeaking noise. But my front break pads have only been on for a month or two. I think my calipers might be rubbing the front left wheel. It squeaks only at low speeds when I break to come to a complete stop. Does this sound like the caliper rubbing?
Well there are a few things going on with my front end. I have a squeaking sound when braking to come to a complete stop. I also have a popping sound occasionally when I turn and even when I come to a complete stop sometimes. I can't figure out why each sound is happening. I'm guessing the popping sound is the cv but not completely sure. I also have a slight humming which is the wheel bearings up front slowly going out.
But the squeaking has got a little worse today than it was a few days ago. It is driving me crazy and I know there is something going on. You think the squeaking is the wheel bearings up front? I know they make a humming sound when they go out, but never heard of them making a squeaking sound too.
