For any of you out there keeping score at home, or just curious about how this came out, here's the story. I finally got my tires and had them installed. I went with General Grabber AT2 size 265/70/15 tires. I had an idler arm replaced and a front end alignment on my 89 s10 blazer 4x4. Everything is completely stock. It rides and drives like a dream, except I had front tires rubbing on both sides. The left side wasn't too bad. I found a bolt head for the inner fender the tire was rubbing on. Took the bolt out and problem solved on that side. Did the same thing on the other side and took care of most of it. I had to cut off the bottom of the inner fender and little of the opening at the bottom of the outer fender. Since I did this I haven't had it rub anymore that I know of. That is the story on my particular vehicle and the way it is set up.
