RE: caprice steel rims

What year caprice did the wheels come from? If it is newer than '90, then they won't fit. They have a 5x127.0 and ours have 5x120.7.

As for the tires, there is a limit, but it makes a difference on the width. Also if you are lowered, you might have clearance issues if you go too big.

The newer caprices are 5x127(5x5) and the older caprices are 5x120.7(5x4.75).
The more I think about it, i think they switched the bolt pattern in 94 with the body change.

I had 96 impala SS rims on my 78 el camino, 5x4.75. They would be the same as the cappy since they used the same axles and front spindles.

Felon. Id double check to make sure they will fit but ive never heard of a rwd 5 lug GM wheel not fitting another rwd 5 lug pattern, hell you can put mid 80's 5 star iroc wheels on your 96 and they will fit bolt pattern wise.

Your main concern is backspacing, because of steering and your bumpstops in the rear!! I would do a test fit to make sure they would work.
