Crager Rim Help Please

Alright im sorry if its been asked ive looked a bunch of times now and really couldent find much but a good amount of people have these rims and others alike and they fit on their blazers. I met up with a few people who have them but it slipped my mind and I forgot to ask the specs of there rims. I have a 1999 Blazer 4 Door 4WD, and im looking to get these rims (those arent the right specs just showing an example of the rims) http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CRR-3975812/ or these http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CRR-3655812/
I called them and was haveing some slight phone problems and dident really get a chance to call summit back so this is why im asking on here. Im looking to keep them 15"s also im just upping the tire size to 245/75 or 255/75. But need help with what rims to get and which ones you guys would think look better lol. I wish that was the only problem.

i like the soft 8's better, but youll want to stick as close as possible to the stock backspacing(6") youll be able to get by with the 255's with a 15x7 rim with 6"BS if your rim has less BS(i suggest no less than 4.5"BS) youll either have to trim or run a smaller tire. for example there is a member on here(wolfpack) who is running a 265/70/15(roughly same size as 255/75) on a rim with 4.5"BS and 3.5-4" of lift and he had to trim a bit.

I really appreicaite the help. What should I try for the 15 in. x 7 in., 5 x 4.5 in. with as close to 6" backspaceing as possible if exactally 6"?

mikeinwi 07-19-2009 12:48 AM

if you want to fit the 255/75's and dont want to trim i would suggest 15x7 with 6"BS if they dont offer a rim with 6"BS just try to stick as close as possible to 6", but like i said earlier the less BS you have the more your tire size will decrease unless you dont mind trimming. the bolt pattern for blazers is 5x4.75 not 5x4.5.

What sucks is this is the only thing I could find with as close to 6" backspaceing as possible as its 4.25" most are only 4. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CRR-3975734P/

mikeinwi 07-19-2009 10:50 PM

you can run a wheel with 4.25"BS, but youll just have to keep your stock tire size.

Ok im sorry to bother you guys again mikeinwi you have been the biggest help to me and i just need your help one more time please. Im giong to order these rims today unless other wise advised, I know the backspaceig is 4" im giong to run the stock tire size. Its the right lug pattern but what im not sure about is the offset (mm) ive never knew abut that. If you would mind helping or telling me if these will fit my blazer with no problem. Thanks again!

Maybe you should look at these: http://www.4wheelparts.com/Wheels/Ro..._pn=PCW52-5762

They are a little more however they have 4.5" backspacing. They are available in 7", 8" and 10" widths.

dude go with the soft 8's. i dont know anything about backspacing or nothin but just to let you know... i looked all over and they seem to be cheapest at jegs. $40 bucks a peice for 15"ers :icon_beerchug:

PaulO2288 09-15-2009 04:09 PM

Im deff going to with the crager soft 8's, I already have all the specs matched up to my truck i just never heard anybody really say anything about the offset and i was just making sure because im ordering them tonight

mb6790 09-15-2009 07:23 PM

i got the soft 8's on mine with no lift i fit 30'' tires on, i had to hammer the fender wall in a tiny bit behind the tire where the mud flaps hang, but it looks fine. thats with a 4.5'' back spacing. i dont think soft 8's have a higher backspacing then 4.5 or 4.25?

bandidolenny 09-15-2009 07:42 PM

You really need to pay attention to backspacing or you will rubbing the front at every turn and bump... You can get away with 4.5"BS in a 7" wide wheel with no lift as long as you stay with the stock size tire. A 2" BL will let you run 30x9.50-15s on these wheels.

PaulO2288 09-15-2009 08:41 PM

Ill probally end up getting the 4" backspaceing because im going to run the stock tire size but any idea about the offset?

94gmcjimmy 09-16-2009 10:41 AM

4" backspacing without any lift or minimal trimming will likely rub. With a stock blazer you want between 4.5" and 6" of backspacing or else modifications will be neccesary.

PaulO2288 09-16-2009 11:10 AM

Well I ended up ordering them they should be here friday or latest monday then. Im really hopeing for friday, Its shipping from Ohio to NY so im really hopeing

PaulO2288 09-16-2009 08:58 PM

Alright please dont make fun of me lol, but they show chrome lug nuts or lug covers in the pics of the soft 8's do they come with the lug nuts or do I have to buy them? only reason im asking because I have no idea and just want to be prepared.

94gmcjimmy 09-17-2009 06:57 AM

Normally you have to buy the lugnuts and centercaps separatly

PaulO2288 09-17-2009 01:50 PM

Alright well I did have to order the center caps so I did, Now my question is Ill have the rims here tomorrow at my house, and the caps on monday how exactally do the caps go on? Do the caps slide in through when the rim is off? It was saying something like a push through.

Bberry20 09-17-2009 04:13 PM

You will have to take the rims off and they slide through from the back with a lip that bholds against the backside of your rim when you put the tire back on. You should post some pics when your done i would like to see how they look. Might have to get some soft 8's for my ride as well.

PaulO2288 09-17-2009 06:04 PM

Alright i deff will. I have a few before pics and i could update because i tinted my windows with 2.5% all around and also have a new cold air intake, Ill end up haveing the rims tomorrow and the center caps on monday :-(

PaulO2288 09-18-2009 04:09 PM

Well it sucks, I got the rims today but no center caps so its not going to look right without the center caps so im giong to wait till monday, i need to go power wash the hell out of my truck anyway because its so muddy and everything is so caked on.
