FIX-A-FLAT

I have a very slow leak in my front drivers side tire. I can't find a leak, but I was thinking of using that FIX-A-FLAT stuff. Has anyone ever used it. Is is ok to use or is it only going to prolong the problem?

Well, it will usually seal the leak, depending on what type it is, but remember it's called 'fix-a-flat', not 'fix-a-tire'. Also, tire changers seem to hate it, saying it can cause pneumatic explosions when you dismount a tire.

I would not recommend it. Try to find the problem with some soap and water mixed up and sprayed over the entire outside of the tire. Pay particularly close attention to where the tire meets the rim and the valve stem itself.

Fix-a-flat can end up causing an imbalance in the tire.

i dont like pix-a-flat, i have always been told it can cause more lil leaks around the rim, i like using slime, but i have never used it in a auto tire, i have it in all my 4-wheeler tires and it works great, but i could see how it could cause it to get out of balance like stated above, but it will definately seal it

fix-a-flat = Great product..... for very very very temporary use.... dont use fix-a-flat unless the tire is flat and you absolutely have to have it to get home....... i have used it on trucks, cars, and trailers... not in any permanent situations though...

Bring your truck to your local tire shop. Most will find and fix the leak correctly for around $10.
