i just had this idea i may be crazy but i just think it sounds cool. i know there are ways to mount a dual axle with some slight modifications. but is there a way to maybe strip down an rebuild a dual axle to mount up under the front of a 4x4 blazer? i know there would have to be alot of modifications, but its definatly something you dont see every day an prolly will never see again.

no offense but i would see that being totally ill-logical.
Reasons:
now where near enough room.
the whole purpose for dual axles is so theres more force/drive/traction in the rear to push or pull a trailer or tough terrain, seeing as you would need to engage the 4x4 for a front dual axle to work seems like a washed idea, you wouldn't even be getting a quarter of the power possible as compared to a rear dual axle.

I don't want to seem like a buzz-kill. but there is a reason why dually's have "rear" dual axles.

only other vehiles such as military or oddball...speciality vehicles have more than 4...but that is 6 or 8, but all those are AWL drive and have momentum in all the wheels at all time....


it would be a money pit.

now lift it like 25" put on a rear dual axle with some stacks coming out of the hood with a 350 instead of the 4.3.

now that would be sweet!

actually, duals are meant to spread out the load, and actually hurt traction. there's a reason that guys who do snow removal/salting don't use dually's.



besides everything mentioned above, i'm surprised the obvious wasn't mentioned.............................steering!

you would have a better chance @ being successful if you used a Dana front axle from a 1 ton truck.

but again..........you couldn't afford the engineering to make it come close to even fit..................somewhat properly.
