k5 blazer tires
Well the 35" BF-Goodrich mud terrains i am running are pretty bald and im looking into upgrading to 38" tires. What tire should i run, i do lots of mudding and trailriding i dont do rocks and its my daily driver. I like the super swamper tires but not the price.... I know that the gumbo mudder is like intercos tsl but how hard are they too find? Is the price much lower then intercos? Is it a good tire overall?

"GateWay Gumbo Monster Mudders" and "Denman Groundhogs" were the two main large tires to run back in the day. I don't think Monster Mudders are even in production anymore..?.. I have owned both brands and I can tell you the ol' nylon bias ply mud tires are terrible on slick pavement. (but excellent in the mud)
I have had good luck with Super Swamper radials and also BGF mud-terrains. That's my two cents. |
yeah well i got a set of bfg mud terrains but there pretty bald....i mean i bought em off a buddy for like 200 bucks because i didnt wanna run my old tiny tires. when it comes down to it though i am probably gonna keep my eyes open for a cheap set of super swampers. I was told by a buddy who ran a set of 33" swampers on his dakota that they did really well in the snow and ive been told by others that they are just **** in the snow...but in reality with the size of tire i want i dont think that they would be safe in the snow anyways..what do you think?

In reality any 33" mud or all terrain radial type tire with a decent amount of tread will do just fine in the snow or sand. The bigger the better. (up to a point)
