Looking for advice on 20" wheels and tires for a 1998 4wd 4 dr

Right. The only thing I got in the divorce out of a ridiculous amount of assets was my Blazer, which was just a get around town daily driver.

I decided to turn defeat into victory, so I've made it into my project car to sink most of my income into for a while.

I've stuck about $3000 into the stereo now, and I'm looking to put in wheels and tires and replace the suspension. (Among other things later)

I'm eyeballing 20" wheels (Not chrome) and I have a couple of questions.

First, the reason I wanted 20" wheels is because I think they carry the best appearance on the truck, as I don't think they look too small or too large in the wheel well.

That being said- I worry a bit about tires rubbing on the frame/wheel well/fenders, and I wanted to see from guys that HAVE 20" wheels on their rides what has worked for them. (Spacers, etc?)

Also- I'm talking to the folks at Belltech to order a new suspension for the truck- New leafs, new springs, shocks, etc etc etc.

With a set of 20" wheels, is there issues with altering the suspension geometry by 3" or more?

Last but not least- I think I could deal with using 18" wheels if it looked "Normal"- I think that having a truck with 30" wheels looks stupid. Same with tiny, tiny wheels.

(I remember back in the day it was cool to have 13X7 wheels on your truck in the lowrider scene)

Anyhow-Lots of questions. I know "just enough" about aftermarket parts to not be a complete moron, but not enough to really make an informed decision. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm running 17's on mine with a 235 series tire and it rubs a bit at full lock but other than that not a problem don't see how 20's would be much different.
