Hi everyone,

I know this topic has been posted here but I have yet to see wheels as bad as mine nor have I found any advice to meet my needs. I have a 2002 blazer with stock rims that are very badly corroded. I purchased this car last year and haven't had time to work on them. I would like to purchase a new set but financially this is not in the cards for me right now. These rims are slightly past the plain "elbow grease" stage. The rims appear corroded in blotches (I'm assuming where a weight once was). Also the narrow lip between where the tire meets the rim is black on all 4. Someone told me I can use an acid wash and re-clear coat....I'm a little skeptical. Has anyone hear of this or have any advice for me? Anything you can provide would be greatly appreciated!

Honestly get your self a nice set of custom mag rims and use the corroded ones for winter driving...Those rims will never look like new again or even half way decent..

Same problem. I sanded most of the stuff off, and then went sanded it to get the harder stuff. Gonna sand them again and them again and paint them.

Thanks for the replys guys. Not exactly the news I was hoping for. I'd be happy even if they looked "a little better" No knowledge of the acid bath?

NVANZEE, I am located in NH. MI is a haul!
