New Duratrak Tire Pics

I've been having issues since the first rotation on my BFG AT KOs - Radial pulling, cupping and not holding a balance. After a complete rebuild on the front end and new rims they HAVE FINALLY determined that the tires are defective - a year and a half later and 35,000 miles too... I'm getting an uncontested refund for the CURRENT price of the tires towards these. It was a good day this morning!

So here are the pics, tires are LT235 75 r15:

I was told that this particular Goodyear tire was specifically designed to out perform every aspect of the BFG All Terrain, with a superb ability in rain and also SNOW unmatched by any tire in it's class by a long shot. Snow being one of the severe downfalls of most off-road AT type tires and especially the Mud type tires.

Despite the looks, these tires run smoother and quieter on the highway than the BFG ATs I had before. Impact bumps like speed bumps are even more pleasent!

I'm sold and telling all my friends about these 'cause I'm really, REALLY impressed with the product and ESPECIALLY the way I've been treated at Discount Tires!

They look pretty good, but you never said what the total cost was. And for the goodyear guy to say they will outpreform the bfg in all catagories is a very bold statement to say the least.

I bought a set of those tires last week. Just installed the 2" body lift and will mount the tires soon. I'm glad to here that you really like them.

For the ppl interested in them! Tire Rack sells them for $130 a pop plus shipping. Thats the size 31x10.50R15. But if you work at an automotive shop or have a buddy that does, they will run you $118 a pop. They look bad ass, for the money ur not gonna find a more aggressive tire. I'll post pix also once I'm done.

They were $131.25 each for the factory LT235 75R-15. The total with all five tires mounted, balanced, and certified would have been $850 for the set.

I was blown away when the guy was telling me about the short commings of the BFG AT. I was thinking man, this guy's right on the money, if these are to be better than that then I've got no choice, cause I don't like spinning in the rain - Esp. with the wife and baby in the truck! and I don't like how the pack up in the snow.

So I just finished a road trip(800 miles) to East Tennessee, Elizabethton to be exact, and along with those highway miles, logged some 30 miles off road at Dennis Cove and Frog Level to name a few. That's over on the other side of Beach MTN in North Carolina. I have to tell you, I only had to use 4 wheel drive twice! The truck pulls like crazy. The traction is SOOO much better offroad it hurts your neck it launches so hard. I've never felt a BFG pull like that!

+1 It was funny tire shopping for BFG's because the Goodyear guys told me their tires outrun them, the Cooper, Toyo, and Firestone guys all said the same. There is a reason everybody and their mothers have or want BFG A/T's because the treadwear with a good alignment is amazing, and because they do particularly well in any condition.

To say that your new tires run better on the street then your defective BFG's is quite the comparison. Mine are very quiet on the street, and I have never once feared of hydroplaning in the rain. We also get a lot of snow here and more then once I have been one of the few drivers out cruising when the plows shut down.

I know what you're saying and I have no idea what happened to those tires, I rotated them religeously and always kept my alignment in check. I work right next store to a goodyear dealer - though not the place I bought them from, they couldn't get them in for my size.

But, anyway... I posted some action shots here:

I guess in a way too, I wanted something a little bit different 'cause EVERYBODY has them. I'm also very thankful that they(Discount Tire) swapped them out after all was said and done.
