New wheels and tires on the 04 4dr 4x4 :)

Firebird 16" wheels wrapped in 235/70 Firestone Destination AT

Now I GOT to do something about the rear track width... It's really obvious now just how much less the rear is out than the font...

What size spacers will even it out with the front?

Looks good! I think my spacers were 1.5". I can check Monday when I get to work but I think that's the most popular size. This reminds me that I really need to get all my crap posted for sale soon.

thanks :)

did a little more searching and it looks like 1 1/4" - 1 1/2" is what people are using. I know I measure the front studs once before in the past and they where 1 3/8" long from hub face to the tip of the stud, so I have a hard time seeing 1 1/4" spacers working and not leaving a bit of stud sticking out, and I don't really want to grind down the factory studs... So I ordered a pair of 1 1/2" hub centric spacers :)

turns out the rear studs are considerably shorter than the fronts :) they don't stick out from the 1.25" spacer at all. even if they did, there's an opening between the lug holes on the back of the wheel, so it would have been fine

got them on this afternoon. looks SOOO much better... so stupid that the width is staggered in my option... but whatever

without spacer

Looks better now with the spacers installed. How's the grip and noise of the Destination AT's?

Well I took it off on a local trail last weekend a little after it rained, just to see what kind of shape the trail was in. Last time I was on it was almost a year ago when I had my Toyota Tacoma 2wd Prerunner with a rear locker, and I got stuck with it LOL! Crept down the trail and noticed if these tires start getting gummed up it'll loose grip in 2wd pretty quick and start slipping. A little throttle blip cleans them out and they grab again. Hit a couple spots were 2wd wasn't good enough though and had to put it in 4wd, which is actually the first time I've put the 4wd in this truck to practical use since I've only had it a few months, and it did wonderfully well :) moved along without hesitation once I dropped it in 4wd. For as often as I'll really use the truck off road, these tires will do great, since the truck sees more road miles than anything else (20 minute trip to and from work every day at ~70mph), so I really don't need a super aggressive mud terrain, but you can bet that if I come across a good deal that I can't refuse I just might upgrade to some lol. But all said and done, these tires do good for me and I think they'll do fine. There's pretty much no noise, really the only time I hear them is when on the brakes and slowing down and am at about 15mph when coming to a stop, then there's a little "AT noise", but nothing crazy. Actually getting it aligned tomorrow because it pulls to the left a little and my steering wheel is off, so that may have something to do with that... My only wish is that they were just a smidgen wider; some 245's might look better... but that's probably just because I have them on an 8" wide wheel
