Offset wheels?
 

Hey guys, I hate how the front wheels stick out farther than the rear ones.

Has anyone put wheels in the back that stick out further to even it up?

Or has anyone done spacers?

What else could you do?

I've done spacers. I've also ran 60s and it seems to even it out pretty good. What kind of vehicle do you have?

2000 GMC Jimmy Diamond with only 67k miles.

Don't you have to worry about spacers coming loose?

Also, what does it do for your alignment or towing?

What rear spacers would you go with?

On the back it wouldn't affect anything. If you put the spacers on correctly they'll be there as long as you want. It lines up just like your rimm and bolts on. I'm not sure how deep you want to come out but you get them on eBay any size you want and most come with the lugz to bolt them up. I just bought some for mine and I want to say they're about 40-50 a pair. In your case I'd say an inch to a half inch. The only problem id see you running into is your speedometer being a tad off.

Most people who do spacers on the rear to even it up with the front go with 1.25" or 1.5". A 1" spacer can work but you ususally end up having to grind the top off the factory lugs because they stick out past the spacer.

The important thing to remember with spacers is that you need to pull the wheels off after 100 miles or so and retorque the spacer lug nuts to factory specs, just like you're supposed to do with the wheels after 100 miles. Some people also put locktite on the threads to keep the lugs from backing off.

Would you get the truck aligned with or without the spacers on?

And what would you torque the spacers to? 100lbs?

the rear end cant be aligned. I think factor torque specs are 95 ft/ls (correct me if im wrong) but I just go for 100

Like Neb said, because the rear axle is a solid axle there isn't any alignment done on the rear so you can go ahead and get it aligned with the spacers on. I don't remember exactly what the factory torque spec is but I'm pretty sure its really close to 95ft/lbs.
