What you can do next time you paint them is head down to your local csk auto, autozone, or advanced and pick up some actual wheel paint. Comes in a rattle can but its supposed to hold up a bunch better. I used it on my 94 grand prix and it never flaked or scratched (but then again the worst thing that saw was snow and a little salt for 2 days when i took it up north). Its a little more expensive but ya might give it a try. I forget the brand but i want to say its made by duplicolor.

At any rate though, looks really nice. Cant wait to see picks of em on.

I went around town to the parts stores and they didn't have black wheel paint anywhere. The colorplace stuff I used said it was warrented for 2 years of no rust so I figured it'll hold up better then most other rattle can stuff. The only wheel paint I found was silver and white.

^Thanks! Me either! Hopefully the new meaty wider tires will help make it look alot meaner to! And I might get the front windows tinted if I find a place to do them. Anyone have any idea how much that would cost? thanks

I painted the wheels on my old s10 with the cheapest flat black spray paint i could find (I sanded and primered first though), and it held up WELL until the day i sold the truck 3 YEARS later. But ya, in th long run Im sure they would have eventaully gone to sh*t. IMO powdercoating is a good option, but its hard to find a cheap powdercoater. I found one on craigslist that ive been usuing for a while to do all my motorcycle parts. He is very cheap and does good work. But I consider myself lucky...

^ Did you do any offroading with them? I sanded mine and then put a few coats of paint and a few of clear on them no primer though. I figured they would hold up decently as I paint stuff on my bike with rattle can paint and it takes a beating and doesnt really chip off unless it hits something real hard. Thanks
