just in a ball park estimate how much would it be to chage rims and tires?

wana change my rims cuz i think it would just be cool and the tread on my tires is getting kinda low

whats that rule again? like stick a penny in the tread and if you can see the top of Lincons head chage the tires?

RE: Price

You can get a set of black steel wheels for 200 plus shipping, but 4 wheel parts runs some free shipping offers every now and then..tires are where the price comes in. BFGs will cost a whole lot, but theyre gunna be worth it. Youre looking anywhere from 80 per tire for the lower stuff, or you can go up to 200/tire for GY Wrangler MT/Rs. I'm sure other members will jump in here with more exact opinions of the tires, but I don't think I'd be comfortable driving on much less expensive tires than 80 or so.

I can't remember who said it..Hanr3 maybe..."you wouldnt go sky diving with the budget parachute'

When buying tires make sure you check e-bay. I just picked up a set of Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ's in 31 10.50 r15 for under 600.00 including shipping. Some people offer free shipping. If you are patient and check e-bay day after day new tires are posted. So if you don't find what you are looking for one day check again in a couple of days.

Excellent advice.

Being patient and knowing what you want will go a long ways towards saving money.

I dont shop e-bay, I find all my deals locally in most cases or on web-forums like this one.

I'm tired of buying stuff off of e-bay and dont want to wait for the shipping time cuz it allways takes like a full week or more for anything to arive

What size rim are you thinking about changing too? Just like what everybody said just be patient before making a purchase. Alot of places like to throw special out like free shipping, buy 3 tires and get 1 free... Def check out jiggs site which is www.synergyoffroad.com also you can check out www.4wheelparts.com, www.tirerack.com, www.discounttire.com, Just becareful when buying new rims that you get the ones that fit your truck. Just because the bolt pattern is the same doesnt mean that the backspacing is the same.

Try your local craigslist.org you'll be surprised what you will find. I found a practically brand new set of 32" tires with about 3000miles on them for $200.
