Hello all, new to the site. I have a 97' Blazer 4WD Blazer and have researched my the tires-wheels combo I'm needing thoroughly. There's only a couple of things I've not been able to find out. What exactly is the offset range that I'm looking to get for my ride? Also, what is the difference I need to be looking for as far as 4WD vs. 2WD, as with tire-rim sizes?? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Aftermarket wheels for a 4wd blazer is in the range of +35mm to +42mm.... You want to stay within that range because anything lower than +35mm will stick out of the fenders. 4wd blazers have the same offsets as front wheel drive vehicles. And if backspacing is all you can find then you shouldn't go any lower than 5" because stock is 6". Unless you are lifting it, then you can go as low as 4.5" but you might have some rubbing issues.

Thanks for the info and reply. What if you don't mind the tires sticking out past the fender a little bit??

Define "a little bit"...? Do you mind "a little bit" of rubbing?

Yeah actually I do mind the rubbing. What I meant was sticking out wider than the fender not rubbing against it.

i had offset american racing baja rims for my s10. i had to buy 29" tires cause thats all i could fit under there to drive it out of the tire shop unless i lifted it on the spot. the front wheels would not turn with my 31"s on. and they still rubbed with the 29"s until i maxed the torsion bars out. and when i drove down muddy roads mud would fly into the cab through the windows and onto the roof. it would get pretty messy. eventually i got pulled over and the cops said i need some bigger fender flairs. then someone crashed into my truck when it was parked and bent the rear axle and leaf spring because the tires was sticking out so far. it was all bad just stay with the stock offset listen to nj4x4blaze...

Hence the recommendation to run teh stock backspacing.

Even with the stock backspacing the largest tire you can fit is 30", you cna fit 31" tires with 2" of lift.

So a set of 245/75/17" would not fit under it??

A 245/75R17 is a 9.65" wide tire with an OD of 31.5". You would need to crank your t-bars and do a 2" body lift to clear 31.5" tires with stock BS rims and NO rubbing.
