Default Rims

What do i have to do to make 15x10 rims fit. I just bought a 2001 chevy blazer LT. It has 80,900 miles on it and i want to give it a mean apperance. I bought BF goodrich all terrian kos at 31'10-5 with some 15x10 rims. I would just like to know what i may have to do to make this package work.

year, make, Model, Lift(s)(if Any) as well as Wheel Backspacing would be critical information needed to give you an accurate answer

I would be curious what backspacing those wheels have... I have also toyed with the idea of 10" wide wheels but the backspacing would be critical for a blazer with a small lift like mine.

I would not put a 10" wide rim on an s-series without having a good size lift (5-6" suspension). Reason being, even with 6" BS (if you can find them), the outside lip of that rim is now 3" further out than the original rim. Put tires on it to use that width (10.5 minimum) and you will be hitting the front of the fender and the firewall. With most aftermarket rims being 15x8 with 4.75" to 4.5" back spacing, you are sticking the tire out there 2.25" to 2.5" further and some have issues with the typical 1.5" to 2" T-bar crank and a 2" BL on a 31x10.5 tire that requires some minor trimming to overcome. That extra 1/2" to 3/4" does not sound like a lot, but it can be.

On a K5, no problem, but an s-series very well may turn into an exercise in getting your frustrations out as you take a sledge to the firewall and a sawsall to the fender!

Agreed. My rims already have a backspacing of 3.75, plus I have 1 inch adapters to boot! With the tires on there already of 31 x 10.50 and a 1.5 tbar crank plus a 2 inch body lift we had a lot of cutting to do, and still have some!

I bought a set of eagle alloys that were said to be 15X10 with the intent of putting them on my 03 s-10 blazer. When i went to the shop to buy tires they measured the wheels and they were 15x10.5"!!! so they talked me into buy a set of 275x60x15. Im not real sure on the back spacing but they stick out really far. The only place they rub is the bottom of the front and rear of the front fenders. I have not decided on how to fit them under it yet. I am a bit short on money at this time but i will have them on it by this summer. I will let you know how i get them to fit and get some pictures.

Default RE: Rims

a 10" wide rim just isnt a good idea, i currently have a 5" lift and had 32/11.5/15 MTR's mounted on 15x10 rims and no matter how much i cut the rear of my front fender back i couldnt keep it from rubbing on anything rougher then a gravel road. So after putting up with it for way to long I ended up putting 4 new 31/10.5/15 duelers....i did my share of crying on the way home having 31's under my 5" lift. but i have to say i love the ride and lack of noise with the A/T tires. I plan on throwing my 32's on my stock rims so when its time to play they will be ready, for now i guess ill enjoy the better mpg and ride.
