looks MUCHHH better! Congrats :D

But wow they took alot off....

All ya needed to do was to cut a chuck out of the back part, leave the fender edge, then just hammer the edge back. Keeps the finished look [&o] And you dont need to go quite as high on the well cover..just give it a couple miles of driving and turning, and youll see a nice clean spot on the well where ya need to trim :)

But just make sure you sand it down...I have a few chunks from my tires where I didn't sand down and a turn + bump takes a little bump rightttttttt outta the tread!

Your going to need a BFH and pull the tire and you will be able to bang it in far enough for your clearance needs, and your jimmy looks awesome on the new wheels and rubber!!!;)

well I just finished bashing and grinding, so now i can go lock to lock without rubbing. Didnt have to cut out a big hunk like the picture....just bashed it:)

also got a lovely little gash on my left pointer finger due to the grinder [:-] but it was totally worth it ha! is there a doctor in the house?

So my backyard mechanic let me borrow his garage for the morning and suggested i fill the, now open, areas with expanding foam to keep grit out, which seems like a good idea, that and I think i can fit mud flaps back on, so at least if the tire does rub it will be a smooth surface ;)

HIGH FIVE! Got any pics on how much you ended up taking off? From the pictures on your thread when you first got your tires, it looked like a VERY tight fit. With the new wheels it only looks like it would be more complicated.

That is a good idea about the mudflaps, rather than have the tires rub against sharp metal, it would probably be a little better to rub against something smooth.

Looks good. I like the tyres & that's something like what I want whenmine needreplacing. Already my tyres are pretty close to the fenders so I'll need to be wary of tyre size. I see you guys all refer to tyre size in inches. Is this from road to top of tyre? If so mine at the moment are 27" (BF Goodrich T/A P235/70R15 102S MS - whatever the 102S MSmeans). So if I want to go to 31" I'll need to cut away at the fenders as well - or maybe do a body lift. By the way blazinloud & WolfPackyour rims also look like 15"right?. I have the same ones &had beenpondering on upgrading to 17", although I understand that at 17" tyre choice for on/off road is very limited (in NZ anyway).
