RE: Someone please just answer this one question!
ok im not sure if it will but heres the basics of wheel and tire sizing:
say we have my stock wheels and tires. on my tires, the numbers 235/75/15R are written. here's what they mean: -235----this is the width of the tread/knobs on the tire -75-----this is the percentage of the tread/knob width that is equal to the sidewall height 235x.75= 176.25 -15R---this is the diameter of the rim the tire is made to fit. in this case it is made for a 15" rim now on to wheels. these specs are usually engraved on the back of the wheel somewhere. my stock wheels: 6"BS 5x4.75 15 6"BS-------this is the distance from the back of the rim to where the wheel touches the hub 5x4.75"----this is called the bolt circle. 5 is the number of lugs or bolts, and 4.75 is the diameter of the circle that they are cut on (draw a circle with a 4.75" diameter and put five evenly spaced dots on her and there you are 15-----------once again, rim diameter. hope that helps at least a little........im not 100% on this, but im pretty sure that the jeep rims are a different bolt circle, so simple answer; no they wont fit. [8D] good luck! |
RE: Someone please just answer this one question!
NO!!!!!
The Jeep has a different lug nut bolt pattern. The lug nuts are the nuts that hold the wheel to the truck. The Jeep has five per tire, and so does the S10-Blazer. However the Jeeps lug nuts are spaced 4.5" apart, while the S10-Blazers are spaced 4.75" apart. There are other GM vehicles that have the 5on 4.75" lug nut pattern, (5 lugnuts on a 4.75" spaced pattern). Camaros, Firebirds, Corvettes, and a few others. http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/tech/....jsp?techid=92 |
RE: Someone please just answer this one question!
82-03 BLAZER / JIMMY 4WD - Bolt pattern 5 on 4.75 in - lug nut size 12X1.50
99-04 WJ GRAND CHEROKEE - Bolt pattern - 5 on 5 in. - lug nut size 1/2 This is what I keep finding and with your explanation they won't fit. That sucks. I was going to be able to get a REALLY good deal on a set of rims and tires. Still might buy them to sell them for more though! Thanks for your help! I really do appreciate it! Now I kind of half ass understand how the wheel sizes work! Kenton |
RE: Someone please just answer this one question!
Check out that link I posted. It shows you how they measure the bolt pattern.
