Question Staggered tires and ABS

I'm consideringbuying new 15” x 8”-wide wheels and slightly bigger tires on my1996 2-door, 2WD Blazer. This is a street vehicle. I'm currentlyrunning T/A Radial 225/70R15s (27.4” tall) on 7”-wide wheels. They're OK but look a little bit small in the wheel wells. I intendto step up to four new factory stock size 235/70R15 tires (28”tall) on 8"-wide alloy wheels.

However, I'mwondering if I can get away with temporarily using two of my 225/70tires on the new front rims and put new 235/70s in back. (I mightlower the back end slightly to level the vehicle.) Those two 225s arejust too fresh and nice to not use up. The diameterdifference--front-to-rear--would be 0.6”. The revolutions-per-miledifference would be 15. (The 225s turn 758 revolutions; the 235s turn743 revolutions.) That's 0.02% difference. Do you think the ABS wouldnotice this? Would I see a trouble code or have some braking issue?

Also, I'm curiousabout where the ABS controller is on this Blazer. I'm not aware of aseparate control module. Is it perhaps incorporated into the ECM onthis Blazer?

Thanks,

Rob

i doubt that minor of a difference will be detected by the abs. i temporarily put 1 bigger tire on the rear of a 04 Cadillac deville at my old job to get it through the day that was like 3 sizes bigger and the driver said the abs light didnt go on til he got to like 70mph.

kinda like if you have 3 new tires and one bald tire it wont throw the abs light, not that ive ever seen anyways

Won't make a difference to the ABS. It's looking for wheel speed at each wheel individually and just adjust brake pressure for that wheel accordingly when needed.

What you DON'T want to do is put mismatched size tires left and right on the rear of a vehicle with a limited slip or locking rear diff (G80 RPO code when it comes to GM)
