stock wheels

I have the regular stock 1991 Wheels but they have some defects and blemishes and don't look as nice as they use to, i was wondering if anyone had any idea on what i could do (besides painting or buying new wheels) to make them look nicer. I found out that steel wool does something, i dunno if its good or bad lol. any ideas?

what kinda blemishes are you talking about, curbrash or clearcoat peeling. could always just sand them down with a fine grit, reclear. pics would help to know what your trying to fix.

i would say start at about a 500 and work your way up to 2000 to get a smooth finish then clear coat them. but thats just me.

If you have some stubborn clear coat, you could try some chemical paint stripper in a very well ventilated area (i.e. outside).

well i got some paint stripper from Duplicolor, worked great, then i sanded 320 < 400 < 600 < 800 < 1000 : and its awesome! its like chrome, i havnt even finished yet it takes so long, but its worth it :D

I have a 1991 S10 Blazer 4d - 4WD and my alloy wheels are exactly the same as these pictured in FoxTrota photograph. I recently purchased some extra 4X4 alloy wheels but they are painted black between the spokes but mine are exactly like the ones pictured and are not painted. Was the alloy wheels painted between the spokes in 1992 -1994 or are all those type alloy wheels supposed to be painted between the spokes, including the 1991 wheels?http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h1...n/IMGP0812.jpg
