Tire Question

hey guys, i've got to get new tires on the blazer. I have a buddy who has a set of Uniroyal 265 75 15 for sale. Will they rub on the stock rim with no lift what so ever?
Thanks!

Yes, you're going to have some serious rub without a 2 inch lift or beyond.

Todays tires are measured as follows...265 is the width across the tread in millimeters ..75 is 75% of the width of the tread to the rim edge...15 of course is the rim size..your tire would be a little wider and a little taller but not a lot..my opinion i wouldnt think you would need a lift, but check the turning radius (rubbing)

265/75 15 = 30.6 10.4

So in other words it's close to a 31x10.5 tire. I'm running 30x9.5 tires on my stock height, and it's cutting it close. You're looking at probably a body lift with tbar crank and shackles. Even still, you'd probably have some rubbing issues and full crank.
