tires for sand

I drive on the beach at freeman park, Carolina beach its has very deep sand
and when it hasn't rained I tend to get stuck at times not always, does anybody know how I can get on and off the beach w/o getting stuck? I lower my tire psi to 18 on each tire i'm running 235/70/15 now whats the biggest tire I could use w/o rubbing when turning the wheel on roads? and yes I have had my Chevy Blazer lifted 4 inches as well. please advise, thanks, Mzdee

*Moved into a new thread in the Tires & Wheels section*

With sand, you want as large of a contact patch as you can fit. With 4" of lift, you can probably fit a set of 31x10.5's with minor rubbing/trimming provided you get the proper back spacing on the rims. But that also depend on how you lifted it 4"... Check out this section for discussions on what tires fit.

I run 30x9.5x15 BFG All terrains on stock wheels. Never had arubbing problem at stock height or with t-bar crank and shakels.

I run BF Goodrich all terrains 235/70/15 on my stock 95 Blazer. I drive on sand all the time and have never gotten stuck yet. I have stock wheels and suspension,,,,but,,,, I air down to 15 and sometimes 12 lbs. If it feels like you are plowing snow drop down a little more,,, you will notice quite a difference,,,plus, less wear and tear on your drivetrain.
