Treadwright Tires
I know there will be haters but I bit the bullet and ordered a set. Did a lot of research and found nothing but good reviews, plus they only cost me 348.00 plus shipping. Downside, backordered but not a prob. these are the ones https://www.treadwright.com/p-7-235-...ler-m-t-p.aspx

It looks like they just bought old tire molds from the name brand tire companies. So long as the tire carcass is good, they should be good tires.

them look good, great price too, looks like acopy of bfg mt

I worked for BFG about 20+ years ago
They ran production on about 60 different tires at any given time I bet of those 60 maybe 6 were michelin, uniroyal or BFG the painted on number and letters in the tread area are put on a green tire before it goes in a press It is possible that more than one brand has the the same green tire (composition) but are in a different mould |
I was thinking an old Cooper or Hankook, not sure, but it looks familiar. Other patterns I see they have are the old style BFG ATs and G/Y MTRs. Both great traction tires!

I had went back to the TW sight and was having a closer look
At first I couldnt understand the mould marks I read the "about us" No thanks on retreads I have seen the damage and or results of a blown up retread on heavy trucks Not a fan of coming across slabs of rubber when I ride my motorcycle either Its impossible to get a perfect bond between the old carcass and the outer tread portion IMO I think passenger tire retreading here may have been banned years ago |
Pj on here is running a set and as far as I know he likes them.

I didn't realize they were retreads. I think they are illegal for passenger vehicles around here. I know they are illegal for front tires on any vehicle.

Not all states on passenger vehicles, They`re legal in here in massachusetts but not so on tractor trailers steering
